Wendy talks Katie through all the elements of this complex move. Pilates is such a coordination of the mind and body. Sometimes it takes a while for the brain to sense the verbal cues, so you hear the words, but you aren't sure how to perform them. Sometimes, you perform and exercise and wonder why you did all the parts of it. It has taken me a while to unpack all the different mechanical/ anatomical reasoning behind some of the moves. The more I learn, the more amazed I am by this practice. It is really brilliant. So, if you are questioning some of these exercises, I believe that is just a normal part of the growth journey.
